3rd Annual Reel Rock Film Tour Coming to Asheville PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 27 August 2008
Beautiful landscapes. Amazing athletes. Terrible falls and fantastic summits. The Reel Rock Film Tour brings them all to the big screen when it returns to Asheville on Sept. 18.

The past two showings of this popular rock climbing film festival have both sold out, and this year will likely be no exception. Once again, Asheville Pizza and Brewing Company hosts the event, so viewers can enjoy some fine microbrews while they watch the world’s best rock climbers scale some of the world’s most breath-taking rock features.

This year also promises to be the biggest and best yet, with a new format that’s sure to please fans. In addition to the usual feature presentation from Sender Films, the tour also features four short films, as well as two additional amateur films that won the first annual Reel Rock Filmmaking Competition.

Raffle tickets will also be available, with prizes that include rock climbing equipment. Tickets cost $3 or two for $5, and all raffle proceeds benefit the Carolina Climbers Coalition.

Filmmakers and featured climbers will be available for interviews, and a press kit with photos and graphics is available at www.reelrocktour.com .
