Adopt-a-Crag opportunities this weekend and coming up! PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 09 October 2008

Please come join the CCC at one of the following venues to help provide some stewardship for your favorite climbing area!

This weekend:

Adopt-a-Crag: Hanging Rock State Park

Where: Climbers Access for Moores Wall

What: This year's project will focus on the Amphitheater area at Moore's Wall. The area has had a number of downed trees and significant erosion over the last few years.

When: 9:00am Saturday Morning Oct. 11th

Lunch will be provided (please PM Nancy to let her know you are coming). We are set to work in light rain, bring rain jackets. I will call the park at 7am to see if it is pouring down rain....post up here if we need to postpone. However, it looks like the rain front is moving in early. We will climb afterwards. Please remember your closed-toed shoes, work gloves and any hand tools (Maddocks, Shovels, hand saws) to use in trail work

Adopt-a-Crag: Crowders Mountain State Park

Where: Main Park Headquarters Crowders Mountain State Park

What: The trail we will be working on is the new system that will connect Crowders to Kings Mountain State Park.

When: 8:30am Saturday Oct. 11th

Please remember your closed-toed shoes, work gloves and any hand tools (Maddocks, Shovels, hand saws) to use in trail work

We look forward to seeing you at these events! Thanks for your support!
