Asheboro Access Warning PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 08 January 2008
Hello all,
I was just informed that people are driving around the second gate and choosing not to use the key. This cannot continue. There are only a few things that Ben has asked that we do as far as our access goes. . .
and he will not tolerate people driving around the gates. We all need to remember that this is private property and all the land surrounding us is also private property. We are extremely lucky to have a private landowner who wants to work with us so lets not screw it up over the 2 minutes it takes to use the key to get in. Please note that most of the property on either side of the road is not his. This is why we asked that no one park on the side of any roads out there. I guess I should have been more specific and included “please do not drive around the gates” but honestly I didn’t think that would be an issue. I cannot say for sure it’s climbers doing this but we are the only ones currently using this access and I also wanted to get the word out that this is a huge no-no. Again, I'm not saying it was climbers, I just want to be clear that if you are caught, you will be asked to leave. There is no room for negotiation here. If you do know who it is doing this please ask them to stop.
Mike
