| Mock Rescue at Ship Rock May 4 |

The Blue Ridge Parkway and Linville Central Rescue Squad are conducting a mock rescue at Ship Rock on Sunday May 4th beginning at 1pm. The purpose of the exercise is to practice both incident command and technical skills (high angle and medical) with a live patient. The scenario will be a fallen rock climber and there will be several high angle obstacles to surmount. The area will not be closed to climbing although the rescue squad recommends that climbers divert to other venues for that afternoon if possible.
