If you are planning on attending the shoe demo at Rumbling Bald, PLEASE READ !!! Car pooling is a NECESSITY!!!! We have received phone calls from the Nature Conservancy, who still owns that property, and they got a call from the Lake Lure Fire Department concerning this event and the perceived traffic issues it may cause. With your help, this event would prove to be a success and set others' mind at ease concerning parking, traffic, and impact. CARPOOL, CARPOOL, CARPOOL !!!!!!! Only park in designated parking spots, don't "create" your own spot in the woods. Parking along Boys Camp Road is NOT AN OPTION, you might get towed. Meet your friends at the Lake Lure Visitor Center and CAR POOL!!!! If you live in Asheville, Black Dome has offered parking. The Ingles on Hwy 74 in Fairview is another option. PLEASE, help us make this a really fun, chill event.
