In the fall of 2016, Table Rock State Park and much of the Southeast was plagued by wildfires. The destruction caused soil instability which has led to severe erosion in places along the approach trail.

The trail work includes three small sections of rock work stairs, some bench cutting, and a backfilled retaining wall. This trail project will help enhance our relationship with the park and potentially allow us to climb at a new cliff within park boundaries. This trail day will be followed up with a community event. Free t-shirts and food will be provided for trail day volunteers. Attendees only need to be present for Saturday’s events, but are encouraged to show up all 3 days. The CCC would like to make this an annual event in SC or at different locations throughout our region. A strong attendance will help grow this event in future years. We hope to see you out there!
