Night at the Museum

Registration is closed for this event
An evening with NC Pioneer Tom Howard, "North Carolina's Luckiest Climber" AND the NC Premier of "The Illness"

Come join us for our 8th annual Night at the Climbing Museum inside Black Dome Mountain Sports in Asheville. The evening will feature a slideshow by climbing pioneer Tom Howard. Tom was a prolific explorer, claiming first ascents on many of our now classic climbs. Linn Cove Lullaby and Edge of a Dream at Ship, Air Show and Zoo View at Moores, Dopey Duck and Straight and Narrow at Short Off; these lines were the work of Tom Howard.

The "Illness" is a short film made by three Southeastern climbers attempted to free an old aid route in the Wind River Range. Check out the preview of this award-winning film here

The evening will include a CCC raffle and silent auction to help raise funds for the ongoing stewardship and access efforts of the CCC. Free event.
