Lower Ghost Town Access Celebration

3 options to attend:

Option 1: Camp out option April 10-12. This requires reservation and payment to Silver City Campground. Reserve your site at www.silvercitycampground.com. This option subtracts 1/2 mile of steep walking. Note: camping is not organized by CCC. Primitive. No water. Steep road. 4WD or AWD cars preferred. 2WD is a maybe. It is highly likely that folks will be climbing Fri-Sunday. 

Option 2: No camping but primo parking and celebration option. You are not going to camp out but you want to park as close to the cliffs as possible. Reach out to Katherine at katherinecdenney@gmail.com to reserve parking. We will have a ribbon cutting at 9AM on Saturday near the meadow and we would love for you to attend that. Steep road. 4WD or AWD cars preferred. 2WD is a maybe.

Option 3: The 'just show up and climb or hike' option. This option requires no reservation or registration. Park at the Village Boulders Trailhead Parking lot on Main St in Chimney Rock and take the steep trail up. We will have a ribbon cutting at 9AM on Saturday near the meadow that we would love for you to attend. If you choose this option, you will want to start hiking no later than 8:30AM. This is about a 1/2 mile hike uphill from your parking at the Village Boulders Trailhead.
