Carolina Climbers Coalition

Introducing The Cultivate Mosaic Scholarship Fund

The CCC is excited to announce a new partnership with Cultivate Climbing to strengthen access, stewardship, and community across Western North Carolina.

Through this partnership, $3 from every Cultivate membership each month supports CCC’s work protecting climbing areas, expanding access, and funding essential stewardship like trail building and bolt replacement.

At the heart of this collaboration is the Cultivate Mosaic Scholarship Fund, which helps reduce barriers and support climbers at every stage—from first-time participants to future leaders.

The fund provides:

  • Leadership Pathway Scholarships for guides and instructors

  • Access & Participation Scholarships for classes, memberships, and gear

  • An annual youth access partnership serving historically underrepresented communities

We Want to Hear from You

We’re deeply grateful to three incredible partners for their support of the Lower Ghost Town project and climbing access across North Carolina.

Thank you to OnX for their $25,000 grant, helping secure a critical corridor in Chimney Rock and advance long-sought access and trail connectivity.

We’re also thankful to Trango for their long-standing partnership, which helped make the Lower Ghost Town acquisition possible and supported the payoff of the Maibauer Boulders conservation loan.

And thank you to the Great Trails State Coalition, whose advocacy led to state investment in trail infrastructure and a 2025 grant supporting land acquisition and trail construction.

Together, these partners are helping protect iconic landscapes, expand access, and strengthen our climbing community.
