Paul Klem- Southern Piedmont Rep
Tarheel-native and Triangle resident for nearly 20 years. Paul rediscovered climbing as an adult initially to destress from the work-week, and found the physical and mental challenge combined with the opportunity to meet other people engaged in an active lifestyle would become more than a hobby. When he’s not at the gym, you’ll probably find him underneath a boulder at Moore’s Wall or the Asheboro Boulders, or doing yoga with his (adorable) daughter Lia. Paul has made numerous trips to bouldering crags all through the Carolinas and out West, and participated in Triple Crown events since 2016; perhaps you’ve met him underneath a boulder?
He hopes to create and strengthen meaningful connections with existing CCC members, the business community, and helping to bridge the gap for newer climbers looking to get outside safely and responsibly; through community-focused events to raise awareness and drive giving, he plans to increase the Triangle community’s contributions to stewardship and preservation to climbing areas in the central and western piedmont.
