Pickens County Supports CCC's Stewardship and Community Work

We're thrilled to announce that we have received grant funding through the Pickens County ATAX and Pickens County Parks, Recreation and Tourism, supporting two initiatives that directly benefit our local climbing community and visitors to the area.

Pickens County has awarded a total of $17,500 for trail maintenance and reconstruction at Pumpkintown Wall and Big Rock, and $2,500 for SC Climbers Festival Marketing. The Pumpkintown Wall Trail and Big Rock are the state's most celebrated and most visited climbing areas, beloved destinations that see heavy use from climbers across the Carolinas. The festival marketing funds will help us grow the SC Climbers Festival through digital campaigns, event partnerships, and promotional materials.

This funding is made possible through Pickens County ATAX and Pickens County Parks, Recreation and Tourism, which supports tourism-related projects that benefit visitors and residents alike. We're honored by the committee's confidence in our work and deeply grateful for their investment in our community's outdoor recreation opportunities.
