Recruiting Gym Ambassadors and Regional Ambassadors

This summer we're recruiting for both our Gym Ambassadors and Regional Ambassadors to help bring the CCC's mission to their community. 

Gym Ambassadors

CCC gym ambassadors are passionate spokespeople who will share the mission of the CCC with their gym to crag community. 

Gym Ambassador Requirements:

  • Gym ambassadors must have a partnering home gym at which they are a member.

  • Anticipated time commitment would be 1-4 hours monthly, to be shared amongst all ambassadors for that gym.

  • Quarterly check ins with the CCC to strategize and plan upcoming gatherings.

  • Ambassadors, CCC staff and gym management will plan, promote and run events at ambassador’s home gym 3-4 times annually, or according to the schedule that best aligns with the gym management’s requests.

  • Ambassadors will promote CCC volunteer trail days, CCC events and CCC fundraising initiatives to their gym community through word of mouth, hanging flyers in the gym, sharing on social media. 

  • Ambassadors must display good moral and ethical character in their community.

  • Brevard Rock Gym - Brevard, NC
  • FirstHand Climbing - Winston-Salem, NC
  • Ultimate Climbing Gym - Greensboro, NC
  • Big Foot Climbing - Morganton, NC
  • Ruckus Climbing - Greensboro, NC

Regional Ambassadors

The Regional Ambassador program is an adaptation of our Gym Ambassador program, designed for folks who love organizing the climbing community around a cause, but don't necessarily find themselves inside a gym that often.

Regional Ambassadors organize community meetups and support CCC stewardship efforts in order to connect their local climbing community with the CCC's mission and work. 

Regional Ambassador Requirements:

  • Regional ambassadors must be an active member of the CCC and based in (or closely connected to) their region.
  • Anticipated time commitment would be 1–4 hours monthly, to be shared amongst all ambassadors for that region.
  • Quarterly check-ins with the CCC to strategize and plan upcoming gatherings.
  • Ambassadors and CCC staff will plan, promote, run and/or support events in the ambassador's region 3–4 times annually.
  • Ambassadors will work with CCC crag stewards to plan any stewardship-based events. 
  • Ambassadors will promote CCC volunteer trail days, CCC events, and CCC fundraising initiatives to their regional climbing community through word of mouth, flyers, and social media.
  • Ambassadors must display good moral and ethical character in their community.

We are currently recruiting regional ambassadors in the following regions:

  • Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill)
  • Northern Piedmont & Triad (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Mt. Airy)
  • Southern Piedmont (Charlotte, Albemarle, Asheboro)
  • Foothills/South Mountains (Hickory, Morganton)
  • High Country (Boone and SW Virginia)
  • WNC (Asheville, Hendersonville, Brevard, Cashiers, Highlands)
  • Upstate SC
