Help Pay Off Ghost Town - Your Donation Doubled Starting Now

We have some exciting news to share. We're launching a matching campaign to finish paying off our Access Fund Climbing Conservation loan on Lower Ghost Town, and we need your help to get there.
 

RHI Legacy Foundation has committed to matching every dollar donated to this campaign, up to $35,000. If we raise $35,000 by December 31, the match kicks in and the remaining $70,000 conservation loan on Lower Ghost Town is paid off in full.

Over the past year, we've worked to open Lower Ghost Town by building the Ghost Town Trail and stewarding the area for sustainable climbing access. Our acquisition was kicked off by a $260,000 grant from the Great Trails State Program and a $25,000 grant from OnX Maps. Since then, our community has helped us raise an additional $38,000 for the Ghost Town fund. 

Now, this campaign is the final push to secure the land for good by raising a final $35,000 that will be matched dollar for dollar by RHI, raising the last $70,000 needed to fully pay off the land.

  • 17 acres purchased, plus 8 acres of trail easements for long-term stewardship, habitat protection, and public access
  • A fully connected conservation corridor along the Hickory Nut Gorge State Trail
  • 100+ climbing routes, with room for expansion
